Equine Shiatsu Massage

Unblock Your Horse's Potential

Natalie Cook

Bachelor of Science

Certified Equine Shiatsu Massage Therapist

Natalie graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Animal Science in 2018. With a minor in Equine Science, her education included a heavy emphasis on equine husbandry, nutrition, and bio-mechanics. During her time at Cal Poly she also participated in the Foaling Enterprise, Colt-Starting class, and Rodeo Team.

As Natalie's professional experience in the equine industry grew - from cattle ranching and guest trail rides, to riding lessons and barn management - so did her respect and admiration of horses. After years of gathering various methodologies regarding proper horse ownership and training (many of which seemed to either contradict one another or did not prove to be effective) Natalie felt overwhelmed by the complexity of providing quality care to our equine partners. Searching for a way to reconnect with client horses, as well as her own, she enrolled in Geary Whiting's Equine Massage Academy for Horse and Rider where her passion for equine welfare was validated and revitalized.

Now, Natalie would like to share her knowledge and services with other equestrians in hopes of advocating for holistic welfare and deepening the sacred bond between human and horse.

Release stagnant energy and rejuvenate muscle tissue. This combination of Shiatsu and Sport Massage Therapy utilizes six proven techniques to facilitate the body's natural homeostatic processes and decrease recovery time, allowing your horse to get the most out of conditioning.

Engage your horse's mind and body. Post-massage stretching sessions offer a way to further enhance circulation, muscle suppleness, and flexibility. Now that natural energy flow is restored, stretching allows muscles to fully extend in a controlled environment, reducing the risk of future injury.

Refine the barrier between horse and rider. Poor saddle fitting conditions can lead to excess pressure on the withers, back, and hips. In attempts to escape this pressure, horses will compensate with muscles that are free to move, resulting in a gait abnormality and possible lameness if left untreated.
